Modeling Transient Control of a Turbogenerator on a Drive Cycle

چکیده

<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">GTDI engines are becoming more efficient, whether individually or part of a HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) powertrain. For the latter, this efficiency manifests itself as increase in zero emissions vehicle mileage. An ideal device for energy recovery is turbogenerator (TG), and, when placed downstream conventional turbine, it has minimal impact on catalyst light-off and can be used bolt-on aftermarket device. A Ricardo WAVE model representative GTDI engine was adapted to include TG (Turbogenerator) TBV (Turbine Bypass Valve) with mechanical turbocompounding configuration, calibrated using steady state mapping data. This integrated into co-simulation environment SISO (Single-Input, Single-Output) dynamic controller developed SIMULINK actuator control (with BMEP, manifold air pressure ratio controlled variables). Transient verification WAVE-RT conducted WLTP NEDC drive cycles, estimating fuel consumption improvement. Hints given advanced MIMO (Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) system architecture calibration.</div></div>

Implementation of a Novel Brushless DC Motor Drive based on One-Cycle Control Strategy

In this paper, one-cycle control (OCC), as a constant-frequency PWM control strategy for current control of a six-switch brushless dc (BLDC) motor drive is investigated. Developed current regulator is a unified controller and PWM modulator. Employing the one-cycle control strategy, decreases the torque ripple resulted from the conventional hysteresis current controllers and therefore, the vibra...

Speed Control of A Three Phase Current Forced Synchronous Machine Drive Based on A Simple Method

In this paper, a new method is proposed for the speed control of a three-phase current forced synchronous machine drive. This metohd is based on the use of an approximate constant commutation safety margin angle in the output thyristor bridge of the drive system as well as on the compenastion of stator magnetization reaction. The commutation process in the output converter of the machine driv...

Transient Characteristics of a Single-Effect Absorption Refrigeration Cycle

This paper deals with a lumped-parameter dynamic simulation of a single-effect LiBr-H2O absorption chiller. In many studies the thermodynamic properties of LiBr-H2O solution were taken from some approximate relations causing the results to be somewhat inaccurate. These relations were used to solve simultaneous differential equations involving the continuity of species constituting the LiBr-H2O ...

the impact of training on second language writing assessment: a case of raters’ biasedness
